Accounts Receivable Specialist

Handex is seeking a highly motivated and professional Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team.  The position will be hybrid and located in Winter Park, FL.

Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC (Handex) is a full-service environmental company focused on providing professional environmental consulting, remediation, construction, emergency response, and sludge dewatering services in the United States. Founded in 1968, we have over 55+ years of experience and have no intention of slowing down!

What will be my responsibilities?

· Team member responsible for processing and tracking customer payments.

· Oversee outstanding invoices and monitor account balances.

· Ensure timely customer payments and follow up regarding overdue payments.

· Resolve billing discrepancies in a respectful manner as well as maintaining accurate records of all AR transactions.

· ERP Database maintenance.

· Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

What knowledge and experience do I need to be successful?

· 3 years of accounts receivable experience along with general accounting/bookkeeping knowledge.

· College degree a plus. 

· Proficient technical skills in MS Office Suite, Excel and ERP systems. Sage 300/Timberline software a plus.

· Highly organized, attention to detail and deadline driven to meet goals and objectives.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

· Customer service oriented along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

· Willingness to work a hybrid work schedule (office/remote) along with OT from time to time. 

· Must live within a commutable distance from corporate HQ, Winter Park Florida (Greater Orlando Area).

· Ability to pass background checks.

Salary Range: $40K to $55K
