Role Description:
The DataScope suite of applications is part of our Pricing and Reference Service business. It is a respected application used in the wider finance industry where clients can do downloads of Pricing and Reference data in customized and standardized reports. The applications have ~1500 external clients who consume financial data to analyse funds and the market position of global industry players.
In this role, you will be joining Data Platforms as a Senior Oracle Database Specialist: serving the entire spectrum of data needs across asset classes, latency and delivery mechanisms including real-time data and reference, and legal entity data. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of changes to Oracle Databases on both Azure, AWS and on-premises..
Candidate Profile / Key Skills:
- Must have 5+ years’ hands-on experience of working on Oracle Databases in a low-latency, high-data volume environment across the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands on experience of designing and engineering data architecture and ETL dataflows in support of enterprise risk management, analytics and reporting.
- Hands on experience in performance tuning Oracle databases and Oracle cluster management.
- Solid grasp of Oracle Functions with extensive experience and hands-on knowledge of PL/SQL (Packages/Functions/Ref cursors).
- Create complex Packages, functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development.
- Experience in the implementation of Liquibase, or similar version control.
- Able to Identify any issues related to database performance/data integrity/data Sync issues across all the database and provide corrective measures.
- Ability to work with a team in an Agile environment
- Strong learning demeanour and Superb interpersonal skills, both written and oral, are a must
- Experience in financial market data or financial products is highly desired
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Oracle certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional).
- Experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle RAC, or other Oracle high-availability solutions.
