$35.24 - $57.25

Under the supervision of the Senior CT Scan Technologist and department leadership, provides direct patient care services and other related functions in support of the department. Performs independently within scope of department policies. Clinically works at the direction of a qualified Radiologist.

I. Major Responsibilities: 

1. Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols. 

2. Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records. 

3. Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.  

4. Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams. 

5. Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review. 

II. Position Qualifications: 

License/Certification/Education: 

Required: 

1. Graduate of an accredited radiological program. 

2. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT. 

3. Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Experience/Skills: 

Required: 

1. Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to product optimum results. 

2. Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.
