This role will be instrumental in developing and executing sourcing strategies that support our manufacturing objectives while managing supplier relationships and driving cost optimization initiatives. <span>Reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing,</span> you will lead a team of 2 sourcing professionals and serve as a key partner in our operational success.<br/><br/><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br/><em>Strategic Sourcing & Procurement</em><br/>- Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with manufacturing goals and business objectives<br/>- Lead category management for critical components including mechanical parts, electronics and serialization-specific hardware<br/>- Be a critical contributor to the S&OP process, aligning and optimizing the sales driven demand with inventory and production planning </span></p>
<p><span>- Conduct market analysis and supplier assessments to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks<br/>- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal total cost structure<br/><br/><em>Supplier Management<br/></em>- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and manufacturing partners<br/>- Implement supplier performance metrics and conduct regular business reviews<br/>- Lead supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and cost performance<br/>- Manage supplier qualification processes ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to our equipment<br/>- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity<br/><br/><em>Team Leadership</em><br/>- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 2 sourcing professionals<br/>- Set clear performance objectives and provide ongoing coaching and feedback<br/>- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement<br/>- Build team capabilities in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management<br/><br/><em>Cross-Functional Collaboration<br/></em>- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Product & Export Compliance and Finance teams to support product development and production requirements<br/>- Participate in new product development (NPD) processes to ensure sourcing readiness<br/>- Collaborate with Manufacturing leadership on capacity planning and material availability<br/>- Support cost reduction / productivity initiatives<br/><br/><em>Operational Excellence<br/></em>- Manage procurement budgets and track savings initiatives<br/>- Implement and optimize sourcing processes, tools, and systems<br/>- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and Dover sourcing standards<br/>- Drive continuous improvement in procurement cycle times and operational efficiency<br/>- Maintain accurate data and reporting on supplier performance, spend analytics, and market trends<br/><br/><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><br/>- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field<br/>- 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a management role<br/>- Proven experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in capital equipment, machine assembly, or precision manufacturing<br/>- Demonstrated success in managing complex supplier relationships and negotiations<br/>- Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis, cost modeling, and supplier score-carding<br/>- Experience leading and developing procurement teams<br/><br/><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong><br/>- Experience in the serialization, track-and-trace, pharmaceutical packaging, or medical device industries<br/>- Knowledge of serialization equipment components and industry standards (GS1, EU FMD, DSCSA)<br/>- Professional international certification or domestic equivalents to CPSM, CSCP, or CPM<br/>- Familiarity with Sage and NetSuite (ERP systems) and e-procurement platforms<br/>- Experience with lean manufacturi
