Job Summary: Oversee and lead the production and manufacturing processes for an entire facility with a $500-$1 bil revenue scope. The director ensures products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with quality standards. Coordinates activities across engineering, supply chain and production to ensure quality and output demand is met.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements manufacturing strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Supports manufacturing activities for two business units in addition to coil production.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to define and execute manufacturing goals and priorities. Works very closely with business unit executives.
- Develops production leadership team through talent management initiatives and ensures succession plans are in place for key roles.
- Oversees the development and execution of production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
- Optimizes production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manages and allocates resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets.
- Implements lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establishes and enforces quality control standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Implements and maintains quality management systems.
- Develops and manages budgets for manufacturing operations.
- Identifies cost-saving opportunities and implements strategies to optimize manufacturing costs.
- Stays current with technological advancements in manufacturing and implements relevant technologies to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
- Leads, motivates, and develops a high-performing manufacturing team.
- Fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Works closely with other departments, such as supply chain, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Ensures manufacturing operations comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Implements key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate manufacturing performance.
- Analyzes data to identify trends, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field and extensive experience in heavy or industrial equipment manufacturing leadership roles. Previous HVAC manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make strategic decisions and solve complex problems.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and systems.
Work Environment:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, stoop, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time during working hours.
