Copywriter, Creative (Timberland)
What will you do?
Reporting to the Associate Creative Director, you will craft engaging and persuasive marketing materials, including headlines, taglines, advertisements, and sales pages, to promote the brand and achieve its commercial goals. This position in located at Timberland’s Office in New York, NY.
A day in the life of the Senior Copywriter looks a little like this. You will:
· Develop Original Ideas
· Write Compelling copy

· Ensure accuracy and clarity
What you will do:
Devise and develop original advertising and communication ideas to engage the target audience and address client needs
Write high-quality copy for various marketing materials, such as websites, social media, ads, and brochures
Persuade the target audience to take a specific action, whether it's making a purchase, signing up for a service, or simply remembering the brand
Often work closely with creative directors, marketing teams, and clients to ensure the copy aligns with the overall marketing strategy and brand identity
Before writing, conduct research to understand the target audience, the product or service, and the competitive landscape
Be able to write in various styles, from formal and informative to informal and humorous, depending on the context and target audience
How you will do it:
Understand the power of language and use it strategically to create a lasting impression and drive results
Pay close attention to detail, ensuring that the copy is accurate, clear, and easy to understand
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundational skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education such as a bachelor’s in English, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of experience and professional achievements in copywriting or proofreading.
The foundational skills you will need in this position are:
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
Problem solving ability and attention to detail
E-commerce experience preferred, but not required
Knowledge of the on-line space
International/Global experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
HTML experience preferred but not required
