SUMMARY

Arcticom, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME).  The Senior SME will support software development and testing team developing improvements to Marine Corps logistics IT systems.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide Product Owner and team members with analysis, surveys, and data gathering.
  • Provide Product Owner and team members with day-to-day corporate knowledge of processes and responsibilities of Marine Corps transportation and supply ordering processes and related IT systems.
  • Collaborate with other SMEs and system users in data gathering, business processes, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Supervisory Responsibility As Required- that an individual, as Senior personnel, may be requested to mentor, teach, coach lesser experienced personnel as well as assist Project/Program Managers in determining proper FSSE capability employment per project.
  • Provide input to system documentation.
  • Provide input to test scenarios.
  • Responsible to attend and participate in daily team meetings, execute assigned workload, and work within project management tools i.e., JIRA, Confluence, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in the applicable field of Marine Corps logistics.
  • Master’s degree or advanced certification.
  • Travel is expected to be 25% to support Marine Corps units at their bases/stations.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to research and effectively prepare training materials as needed.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of and experience with Marine Corps logistics business processes and associated IT systems, preferably Common Logistics Command and Control System (CLC2S), the Transportation Capacity Planning Tool (TCPT), and the Storage Retrieval Automated Tracking Integrated System (STRATIS).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
