Student Assistant – Multispecies Lab Ideas Festival

The Multispecies Lab at The New School is hiring three student assistants to support preparation and coordination for the Multispecies Lab Ideas Festival, taking place April 8–10. Student assistants will contribute to event preparation and logistics, assist with student-led workshops, and help ensure festival activities run smoothly.

Responsibilities may include:

• preparing materials

• assisting with printing and poster or signage design

• supporting workshop facilitators

• helping guide participants during festival events

The position reports to Multispecies Lab faculty (Eva Perez deVega) and festival organizers.

Work Mode:

• Hybrid/Split - Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled , consistent percentage of time on campus during the Multispecies lab Festival (April 8-10) and also work some of the time remotely for preparations, including Wednesday coordination meeting with the committee.

Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour

Support poster or signage preparation for festival events. Assist with the setup and breakdown of workshop and event spaces. Support student workshop facilitators with materials and logistical needs during sessions Welcome and guide participants during festival activities.
