The Role:

The Sr. Director of Fraud and Payments will deliver results while leading Gametime’s initiatives in fraud prevention and payment optimization through the innovative application of machine learning models, advanced statistical methods, and data-driven strategies. This role is central to safeguarding Gametime’s platform from fraudulent activity, particularly credit card fraud, while creating a seamless, efficient, and secure payment experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will combine leadership excellence with deep expertise in data science, analytics, and fraud prevention technologies to enhance decision-making and drive measurable outcomes.

Leadership and Team Management

• Build and lead a high-performing team focused on fraud prevention and payment optimization, leveraging advanced data science techniques.

Machine Learning and Analytics Strategy

• Drive the adoption of machine learning models for real-time fraud detection, predictive risk assessment, and automated anomaly detection.
• Develop and oversee statistical models to enhance fraud risk scoring, payment optimization, and customer transaction success rates.

Data Strategy and Reporting

• Design and implement frameworks for tracking fraud trends and payment system performance, using advanced data visualization tools.
• Oversee the creation of dashboards and automated reporting systems that provide actionable insights for fraud prevention and business performance optimization.

Risk Mitigation and Optimization

• Deploy statistical techniques and AI-based decision systems to monitor, analyze, and respond to emerging fraud threats proactively.
• Leverage historical data, pattern analysis, and simulation techniques to refine payment processes, reducing false positives and ensuring operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams to integrate fraud detection systems into scalable architectures.
• Partner with finance, customer support, and external stakeholders to align fraud mitigation strategies with operational and compliance requirements.

External Relations

• Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, payment processors, and law enforcement agencies to improve resources and response capabilities.
• Negotiate with external partners on fraud-related technology implementation and payment processing enhancements.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
