About the role

Spacelift Flows is a brand new product currently in development (see below for a couple demos) - a visual automation platform for day 2 operations. A home for all your ancillary automations - incident automation and response, self-service, slackbots, AI automations, MCP servers, etc.

Spacelift as a company was founded in 2020 by Marcin Wyszynski, a long-time DevOps practitioner, and Pawel Hytry, a successful entrepreneur. In 2025, Spacelift raised a $51M Series C.

Flows helps you bring out-of-the-box observability, auditability, and ease of debugging to your automations, replacing any stray Lambdas and Python scripts. It integrates with a vast catalog of high-level APIs and low-level protocols, and includes basic infrastructure management capabilities. Finally, it makes building automations fun and interactive, while giving you the full power of JavaScript where needed.

We like to call Flows an “Integrated Automation Environment”, and the experience is in many ways similar to building an IDE - it even includes coding assistance and a TypeScript LSP running in the browser.

Flows also has a built-in agentic AI assistant for building automations. We’re not just building it as a tool for the realities of today’s world, but for the opportunities of tomorrow, and as part of it, you’ll have the chance to work with and improve cutting-edge technologies such as these.

We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about building tools. Engineers who want to contribute to every aspect of building new functionality—from discovery to delivery to release—and drive key decisions. We build highly technical products that need a good understanding of our users' problems and excellent engineering to arrive at an optimal solution.

Since the product is new, it’s a great opportunity to greatly impact its features and development.

The Team

The team working on Flows is composed of a team lead, backend and frontend engineers, a UX/UI designer and a product manager. Engineers have full ownership of the projects they work on.

The role

  • Building new features, improving existing ones, fixing bugs.

  • Owning the features end-to-end from the discovery process, through creating designs, to implementation and maintenance

  • Backend is in Go with a PostgreSQL database

  • You build it, you run it – you will also be part of the on-call rotation

About You

  • Passion for building products, love for tech, and interest in automation.

  • Proactive

  • 3+ years of hands-on programming experience in a statically typed language

  • Experience with Go is welcome, but not required

  • Self-sufficient - we’re remote and work in a high-trust environment. We expect you to be able to manage your own time and workload effectively.

  • Bonus points for experience working at early-stage products, open-source contributions, or personal projects demonstrating your passion for software engineering.

How we work

  • We move fast and iterate quickly.

  • We try to build all features using a tracer-bullet approach. First, we do a quick end-to-end working PoC, and then we iterate on it until it’s production-ready.

  • We stay on the cutting edge of developer tooling, including access to the latest AI agentic assistants, Claude Code or Cursor, and your IDE of choice.

Why Spacelift?

  • Build something new, innovative, and experiment.

  • Work on a product that users enjoy using, and care is taken for it to stay this way.
