Coach, Middle School, Softball Coach (EX) (Current Opportunity) - Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Essex MD

Our Lady of Mount Carmel seeks a dedicated and Middle School Softball Coach to lead and
develop our student-athletes in a manner consistent with Catholic values and the school’s
mission. The coach will be responsible for teaching softball fundamentals, fostering teamwork
and sportsmanship and promoting academic and personal growth in all players. This seasonal position requires full attendance at all practices, games, and postseason events.

Essential Functions: 

• Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices that focus on skill development,
  teamwork, and understanding of the game.
•  Model and instill values such as respect, integrity, and self-discipline in all interactions.
•  Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events to ensure safety
  and appropriate conduct.
•  Communicate regularly with the Athletic Director, school administration, parents, and
  players regarding schedules, expectations, and player progress.
•  Ensure all players meet eligibility, academic, and behavioral requirements as set forth by
  the school and league.
•  Manage equipment, uniforms, and facilities responsibly.
•  Attend coaches’ meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
•  Promote a positive, Christ-centered team environment that encourages prayer,
  reflection, and good sportsmanship.

Position Qualifications: 

● Prior coaching experience at the youth, middle school, or high school level is preferred.
● Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
● Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
● Excellent communication and leadership skills.
● Completion of required background checks and diocesan safe environment training.

Range:  This position is paid via stipend:  $500.00 - $1,500.00
