About the role

Meta is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Accounting Manager to join our team with a focus on operations and associated internal controls framework across the infrastructure portfolio. This is a hands-on role that partners closely with Infra portfolio owners, Risk &amp; Controls, Internal Audit, and Systems Controllership to ensure end-to-end controllership over one of Meta's Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting processes — spanning data center construction, fiber networks, hardware, supply chain and energy infrastructure.<br/><br/>This role requires Big 4 experience (audit or advisory) with demonstrated controls expertise, a track record of transforming finance processes, and the ability to apply that rigor in a fast-paced, high-growth environment at scale.<br/><br/><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br/>Controls Ownership: Design, execute, and maintain SOX and operational controls across the infrastructure accounting portfolio (Capital Expenditures, Operating Expenditures, fixed assets, leases, accruals)<br/>* Close &amp; Reporting: Support monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of infrastructure accounting entries and reconciliations — while identifying opportunities to streamline and transform the close cycle<br/>* Process Improvement: Identify risks and control enhancements and drive upstream/downstream process improvements to automate work and strengthen internal control compliance. Cross-Functional Partnership:<br/>* Partner with Infra Business Partners and Engineering and other cross-functional teams, including Finance, Tax, and Legal, to ensure that controls are embedded in end-to-end workflows<br/>* Audit &amp; Compliance: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audit, preparing evidence packages and supporting SOX testing cycles<br/>* Systems &amp; Automation: Collaborate on system-driven controls (subledger, Costar, Fusion, inventory, procurement systems) and support automation initiatives to improve the control effectiveness<br/>* Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with Meta accounting policies (including ASC 606, fixed asset capitalization, and milestone acceptance frameworks)<br/>* Leadership &amp; Influence: Operate as a subject matter expert on infrastructure controls, guiding team members across the organization and influencing control design decisions across the portfolio<br/><br/><strong>Qualifications</strong><br/>7+ years of relevant experience in accounting, with 3+ years in a Big 4 firm (audit or advisory) or equivalent in-house controls experience<br/>* Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline<br/>* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)<br/>* Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls design and testing<br/>* Demonstrated ability to operate across multiple workstreams with attention to detail, a controls mindset, and an appetite for driving process change<br/>* Ability to leverage technology, including AI, to automate processes and implement efficiencies across the control and reporting landscape Experience in technology or infrastructure-intensive industries (telecoms, data centers, utilities, or large-scale capital-expenditure environments)<br/>* Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies<br/>* Background in process improvement or operational excellence within a finance function<br/>* Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)<br/>* Experience with fixed assets, leases (ASC 842), or infrastructure accounting<br/>* Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle/Fusion, SAP) and data tools (SQL, data querying tools, or equivalent)<br/>* Experience operating in a high-growth environment with evolving systems and processes, including adapting workflows and priorities as business needs change<br/>* Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)<br/>* Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Legal, Tax, Engineering) on change management and process redesign
