ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Software Engineer will:
- Act as a lead and guide engineers in achieving an elevated level of technical excellence and stability.
- Develop standards/practices that will increase adoption of Agile, Dev Ops, and cloud-native approaches.
- Work on developing a Modernization strategy by identifying the need for API and building microservices.
- Pitch in by contributing to the codebase, ensuring the correct foundational elements are built in a maintainable, scalable manner.
- Identify complex components and set unit test standards while incorporating code quality.
- Contribute to and respond to code and architecture reviews as needed.

Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field/relevant industry experience in software development.
- At least 7 years of experience in Software Engineering.
Demonstrated success working on software engineering problems that span multiple products. - Passionate about solving complex and mission-critical problems with leading-edge, innovative technologies through solid engineering practices.
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Services in Compute, Storage, Containers, Database, Networking, Security, Application Integration.
- Experience designing and building front-end Single-Page Applications (SPAs) in one or more front-end frameworks (HTML5, AngularJS, ReactJS).
- Experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, Elasticsearch and Redis) and Relational DBs (AWS RDS, MySQL or PostgreSQL).
- Experience in Serverless technologies DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, S3, or other equivalents.
- Expertise in modern application development practices such as CI/CD, Test Driven Development (TDD), and DevOps.
- Able to develop and maintain infrastructure & application configuration management, automation & deployments (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Can operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Proficient in monitoring and gathering metrics (Splunk, CloudWatch).
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams and build strong partnerships effectively.
- Embrace open-source technologies.
- Deep understanding of OO Design Principles and Patterns.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
