What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor degree or Master degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or data science (preferred), with a track record of academic excellence.
  • 15+ years of professional experience performing analytic development work in financial services, consumer credit, or a related (regulated, compliance-driven) industry, with at least 8+ years in a successful leadership role.
  • Understanding of data acquisition practices from furnishers, third parties, with ability to monitor data performance and resolve issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit, marketing, fraud and other related data assets and business practices in a regulated industry.
  • Evidence of strong analytical, critical, and creative thinking and willingness to take initiative in problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated interest and proven career path in industries served by TransUnion, such as financial services, insurance, fraud, and digital marketing.
  • Solid programming skills and aptitude; mastery of statistical programs such as R or Python; mastery of other programming and data manipulation languages and platforms (SQL, Hive, Spark, C/C++, Java); high level of familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to lead complex data & analytic projects under limited supervision. This may entail the design, development, and delivery of complex solutions in close coordination with TransUnion’s Sales and vertical support teams, and in direct communication with customers. 
  • Experience delivering complex data solutions driven by partnership of local teams and Global Capabilities Centers, located in India and around the globe.
  • Track record of success in matrixed organizations; working successfully with peers at both headquarters and across the globe.
  • Strong project management, along with change and time management skills for leading complex portfolios and work streams simultaneously with minimal supervision in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This may require the need to make impactful project decisions and recommendations, taking ownership for actions.
  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at multiple levels - including senior leadership ranks - within a complex and dynamic matrix organization. Flexibility adapting to changes in business objectives or organizational structure.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic planning experience for global organizations at a regional level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to translate technical concepts into articulate, actionable recommendations in a manner that is suitable to influence business partners and decision-makers both internally and externally towards desired outcomes. 
  • Ability to present a compelling strategic vision to commercial leaders and facilitate / drive use of the newest technologies.
  • Availability to travel, domestically and internationally.

TransUnion Canada is seeking a Regional Chief Data & Analytics officer. An experienced and enthusiastic leader to represent and lead all aspects of data science, analytics, data acquisition, and data management in Canada for our Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) function.  This role is responsible for leading their region (Canada), through credit and non-credit analytic solution development, custom analytic solutions as well as data strategy, acquisition, onboarding, and quality control.
