Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee complex assembly operations and projects.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the production team.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in assembly processes.
- Resolve advanced assembly issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and milestones.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of assembly activities and outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
- Evaluate and select new tools, equipment, and technologies for assembly.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Represent the production department in project planning and decision-making processes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5+ years as a technician or in a related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
- Advanced experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment.
- Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of manufacturing principles.
- Progressive experience with electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Advanced skills in assembly, soldering, and connectors.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- OSHA 10-Hour Training certification.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing principles and technologies.
Essential Functions:
- Perform assembly tasks, including the ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Operate and maintain assembly tools and equipment, requiring hand/finger dexterity.
- Stand for extended periods during the work shift.
- Work in potentially hazardous or loud environments, following safety protocols.
- Ability to travel may be required.
- For office roles, capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
