The Genesys Data & Analytics Team
The Data & Analytics Platform and Technology team is a global team that serves Genesys users across the business by providing a data ecosystem comprised of data storage, data ingestion, data consumption, and many other capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Work with product owners to drive platform architecture and technologies that meet the needs across business domains at Genesys.
- Drive architectural design with other principal engineers, enterprise architecture, etc. on technology solutions that achieve measurable results at scale.
- Provide technical thought leadership for efficient API architecture, data pipeline architecture, data warehouse architecture and business intelligence functions.
- Guide, mentor, influence, and design a modern data architectural while adopting and building best practices and standards.
- Drive a data operations mindset by monitoring and analyzing information to platform performance to discover ways of enhancing them.
- Collaborate with cross-function teams to design interfaces that support data integration (ingress and egress) with internal and external platforms.
- Drive technology evaluations as it relates to data and analytics including POT/POC’s.
Requirements
- 10 years of enterprise data engineering and software engineering experience
- Proficiency with building scalable, serverless API architectures levering Python
- Proficiency with building enterprise grade data solutions leveraging technologies such as AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar.
- Experience with cloud database technologies such as Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Google, AWS or similar.
- Experience with cloud-based data integration tools/frameworks such as dbt, Glue, or similar.
- Experience with cloud-based data orchestration such as MWAA.
- 10+ years of programming experience with command in at least two or more of the following programming languages: SQL, Python, Java, R or Spark.
- Must be skilled communicator and demonstrate an ability to work with end users and business leaders.
- Passion for code quality, testing and good documentation.
- Expert in iterating within a CI/CD framework.
- Experience deploying data pipeline infrastructure on cloud technologies.
- Expert experience with distributed data processing and event streaming.
- Experience working within an agile scrum framework.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science AND 4+ years of experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling and/or data engineering work or master's degree in computer science.
- Experience with message driven architecture and API enablement.

Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
