About the role

Product Business Development
The role leads identifying, developing, and managing potential partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions by creating an established presence in the industry, shaping the dialogue around annuities and lifetime income solutions, and bringing competitive thought leadership on market trends and opportunities to develop new product offerings.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Leads the client prospecting process for new products under incubation and articulates the product vision, strategy, and positioning.
  • Partners with affiliate on Corporate Retirement sales, meeting with prospects, and managing ongoing relationships once developed (consultants, sponsors and recordkeepers).
  • Conducts product research and benchmarking within the competitive environment to support further product enhancements (e.g. structures, features, provisions).
  • Identifies and develops strategic partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions opportunities in the market to support expansion into the corporate retirement market and scale adoption of corporate retirement and IRA solutions; including opportunity sizing, evaluation of strategic and business economics.
  • Develops strategy for third party advisor channel; scaling support model to grow impact and value.
  • Liaises with other senior executives across the organization to ensure that strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate objectives.

Base Pay Range: $184,000/yr - $314,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
