  Job Profile Title:   Quality Engineer III 

  Location/Division Specific Information – Fremont, CA (on-site)

  How will you make an impact? -- Represent the quality function of technical support, in conjunction with other internal support groups, regarding issues affecting manufacturing on global customer accounts. Serve as liaison between Jabil Circuit and suppliers or customers on global quality related issues.

  What will you do? ---

  • Develop and maintain QA plans and timeliness of global new product introductions utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimization specific to the customer

  • Evaluate and provide input to inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines

  • Review all supplies, internal, and customer discrepancies, coordinate and track the effectiveness of corrective/proactive action efforts (CAPAs)

  • Interface and provide technical support on quality issues with the customer as needed

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor

  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy

  How will you get here?  -

  Education:  

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a Mechanical Engineering field

Experience:  

• 5 (five) years related experience is required

• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:   

• Processing capabilities

• NPI/ AQP

• Understanding of GD&T

• Blueprint reading

• Minitab

• Understanding and creation of PFMEA

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Process Auditors Certification – ISO9001

• GD&T Certification

• Calypso Certification

Salary range for this position is: $99, 185 - $178K

The pay range for this role is $99,185 - $178,533. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
