As a Senior Sealed System Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of cooling system engineering solutions for refrigeration products. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MFT’s growth and innovation.
What You’ll Do
Actively lead and / or participate in project teams focused on New Product Development, Continuous Product Improvement, or Feature Innovation.
Lead the design, testing, and reviews for refrigeration-based sealed systems across all product lines as a functional expert
Lead problem solving activities using 8D methodology to identify root cause of issues and oversee development/implementation of a corrective action plan.
Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions for cooling systems across many different product types
Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and tools
Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutions
Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications of existing product lines
Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met
Stay up to date with the latest advancements, industry trends, and technological innovations in cooling systems, sealed systems, and refrigerated product designs
Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, workshops, and conferences

Skills/Experience We’re Looking For
Ice maker refrigeration design and system balancing experience
Experience with flammable, low-GWP refrigerants and control system safety.
Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and concepts as they relate to sealed systems and cooling methods
Proficiency in thermal simulation software
Ability to plan and oversee laboratory testing with hands-on approach to prototype development
Ability to organize and manage multiple sub-projects in parallel, or multiple system variants in different stages of a project
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master's in Engineering or a related field
10+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role
