Penetration Test Project Coordinator

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking to hire a Penetration Test Project Coordinator to become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes.  Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. 

 

Location: Arlington, VA

 

In the role as a Penetration Test Project Coordinator, you will:

• Provide Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration testing project management support to a Cabinet level federal agency.
• Contribute to a team of information assurance professionals working to improve network security posture.
• Duties will include developing schedules, developing service driven metrics, writing reports, briefing schedule details to leadership, and coordinating assessment testing activities. 
• Collaborate with team on daily status reports. ·
• Create, maintain and coordinate the penetration testing assessment activities through a project schedule. 
• Create, track and maintain metrics associated with the status report(s).
• Brief project schedule and impact to stakeholders to include Sr. Leadership.
• Help customer perform risk analysis based on schedule impacts.
• Develop automated workflows to support a service catalog.
• Research and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, and trends regarding ITIL best practices.

Qualifications

Required: 

• BS/BA degree and must possess five (5) years of substantive IT knowledge. an additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree. 
• Hands-on expertise and/or training in areas of cyber assessment activities, project scheduling and ITIL fundamentals.
• Self-starter with demonstrated analytical skills and adaptability. Must have the ability to work quickly, a willingness to work on ad hoc assignments, strong written and verbal communication skills, and recognize the importance of being a team player. 
• Experience developing project schedules, work estimates, resource plans and status reports to account for all aspects associated with assessment and authorization activities.· 

• Be able to interface with various stake holders affected by the assessment and communicate the project scope and objectives. ·

• Conduct project meetings and will be responsible for project tracking and analysis.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and review penetration testing team deliverables. · 

• Apply ITIL principles by creating metrics based on service catalog.

• Understanding of the assessment and authorization process.

• Understanding on integrating technological automations to streamline work flow.

• Must be able to work alone or in a small group. 

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
