We are keen on hiring a Senior Data Analyst (m/f/d) with a focus on Finance, People and Strategy for helping us to detect and understand business problems, translate data into actionable insights, to make the business even smarter and to enable us to make more efficient and effective business decisions. Being part of the Data Centre of Excellence and in close collaboration with your stakeholders, you will constantly work on potential improvements in analytics processes, data quality, and data sources/tools to make the insights more precise and reliable.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

• Connecting the requirements of your stakeholders in the Finance, People and Strategy teams with the expertise of our data team with regards to partner or tool implementations, tracking, data aggregations and continuous improvement of our data structure in the DWH.
• Organising the data coming from large, versatile data sets including historical, real-time and third party data streams in efficient and easy-to-use data models and combine different data sources to enrich the data sets
• Analysing and solving business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities to help expand and grow our business
• You’ll unveil new insights, prepare and visualise them in a comprehensive and user-friendly way and communicate them via good storytelling to actively support and consult your stakeholders 
• Building the data foundation of People analytics at FREE NOW and support our colleagues in the People department in building reports & analyses. 
• Having automation as one of your guiding principles, you keep a constant and proactive eye out for potential improvements in analytics processes, data quality, and data sources/tools.

Our Data Techstack: SQL | Python | Tableau | Databricks | Metabase

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• At least 3 years of experience working as an analyst enables you to get a jumpstart in our tools and systems, delivering value as soon as you can. 
• You preferably have a degree in business studies, computer science, psychology, or another subject with a significant mathematical, statistical, or scientific focus.
• A proven track record of working in a highly performant data-focused environment.
• An analytical mindset and the ability to handle database queries yourself (i.e. in SQL, Python, etc.). 
• Experience in connecting several data sources, designing an efficient data model oriented towards concrete business use cases and translating business questions into metrics and KPIs
• You understand how to engage and influence decision-makers by using data visualisation & storytelling and have excellent communication skills. 
• Experience in Finance or People Analytics is a plus
• Experience in developing ETL pipelines (e.g. in Airflow) is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent written and spoken English.
