About the role:

We’re seeking a talented Senior Security Engineer with hands-on experience deploying, managing, and operating modern Vulnerability Management platforms. In this role, you’ll work alongside technical product managers and engineers across the company to build Samsara’s Vulnerability Management infrastructure and de-risk software vulnerabilities to better protect our customers.

We seek an individual who is passionate about leveraging automation to enhance efficiency, is enthusiastic about working with infrastructure-as-code, and has a wealth of experience collaborating with teams to reduce software vulnerabilities. Your contributions will be critical to shaping our overall security and compliance strategy.

In this role, you will: 

• Provide significant influence and leadership over Samsara’s vulnerability management roadmap and priorities, balancing both near-term and long-term business impact with technical considerations.
• Lead efforts to develop integrations between Samsara’s vulnerability management tooling and enrich findings with data to help ensure they are actionable and accurate.
• Work together with the Vulnerability Technical Program Manager to produce monthly and quarterly compliance reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across the company to help triage, mitigate, and remediate software vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical expertise alongside Security Operations during investigations around zero-day or high-profile vulnerabilities to determine potential impact on Samsara infrastructure.
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:
