Job Description

***This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, Phlebotomy Lab Supervisor position located at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.  Must be able to work 8am - 4:30pm with occasional rotating shifts.***

Under the leadership of the Support Services Manager, the Staff Supervisor is responsible for the day to day performance, organization, and scheduling of staff assigned to the Lab Outpatient Services and Lab Support Services. The Staff Supervisor has responsibility to ensure that services provided in the department section meet customer expectations, and laboratory policies. Communication with shift supervisors, and other hospital/laboratory staff is expected in order to ensure teamwork. In addition, the Staff Supervisor, in conjunction with the Manager of Support Services is responsible for gathering information and assisting in staff development. The Staff Supervisor is a working supervisor, dividing his/her time in the performance of services specific to Lab Support Services duties.

Qualifications

Requirements: Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent. Valid driver's license. PBT (ASCP) or equivalent schooling or work experience of minimum 5 years in related profession. Licensure: Preferred: CERT PBT
