Summary of Job Duties:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) works under physician direction and under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Clinical Team Manager. The RRT is a professional who works within the limits of their license and credentials, adhering to institutional and departmental policies, procedures, and standards. The RRT is required to provide quality patient care, promote a healthy work environment, and project a positive image for the UAMS Medical Center.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care by date of hire.

  • Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Therapy Practitioner (LRCP) by date of hire.

  • Must pass National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) RRT Credentialing Examination by date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care

  • Experience as a UAMS Respiratory Care Intern

  • ACLS, NRP, Basic Life Support (BLS)
