Corporate Safety Manager

E&E Foods is launching a search for a Corporate Safety Manager at their corporate office in Renton, WA. This job requires a safety professional who has excellent attention to detail, strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy and has excellent verbal oral and written communication skills. In addition, they will possess expertise in and working knowledge of Federal and State laws and standards pertaining to safety practices. They will have a strong strategic and operational focus. They will be a creative problem solver who can implement a culture of safety throughout the organization. Finally, they will be a team player with the ability to handle deadline driven environments.

The successful candidate will:

• Create and implement safety policies and procedures in line with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices.
• Handles and oversees all company safety and maintains a positive and cooperative safety culture. Ensure site personnel have received the required health and safety regulatory and program training.
• Assist and train each job site safety representatives or Plant Manager to identify safety hazards and how to properly address, manage and implement corrective actions.
• Responsible for all safety training, to include, new hire safety orientation, monthly classes (Ariel Lifts, CPR, fall protection, etc.) making sure each employee is properly trained and holds proper certifications for applicable tasks at each location.
• Oversees vehicle fleet, to include DMV records, accident management, manage driver policy.
• Possess the ability to prioritize varying projects and deadlines while being very well organized.

Requirements

 Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• 5/+ years relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health, or related field desired.
• Relevant Certifications (ex. CSP, CHST) are a plus.
• Proven experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in the seafood industry.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA and other relevant standards.
• Ability to maintain and ensure the confidential nature of Safety and Human Resources.
• Strong understanding of accident and incident investigation techniques.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills.

Salary & Benefits:

• The starting wage is $100,000 to $145,000.00 per year.

Work Environment:

• E&E Foods offers a business casual work environment.
• Work is typically performed in an office setting, and onsite/in-person.
• The ability to sit at a desk/computer station, bend, stoop, walk and generally move around the office to consult with others, work within a busy environment and remain focused on tasks.
• Document management requires some lifting and moving of objects up to 50lbs.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
