Job Description:

Solution Architect to support customer channels architecture, specifically the US Customer Platform.
 
Looking for a Solution Architect with experience working with business and technology teams to define complex multi-application solutions. The successful candidate will assist in defining solutions for a predominantly custom-built platform. The platform participates in a large ecosystem of custom- and SaaS-provided applications.
 • The Solution Architect will be required to interpret business objectives and requirements into technology solutions that adhere to the strategic direction.
 • The Solution Architect will be required to understand and provide guidance on the technical aspects of the solution, and will often work closely with the Technology team partners. The SA will need to look at a problem from a number of angles to assess the most strategic and/or appropriate way of solving the problem. 

The Solution Architect will:
 • Take direction from Senior Architects within the team.
 • Work closely with other enterprise architects, business, and technology delivery partners to define and contribute to both high-level (for estimation) and detailed solutions (for delivery).
 • Prepare architecture blueprints / designs.
 • Prepare diagrams and other artefacts to support solution discussions and communicate decisions.
 • Perform options analyses and document Architecture Assessment of Options.
 • Ensure alignment to, and promote advancement of, the Architecture Vision for the domain.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrate exceptional collaboration, communication and client-facing skills
 • Be cable of working autonomously on high profile, complex and/or high-risk technology projects with significant impact to the organization
 • Be a proactive thinker when it comes to providing recommendations on value-added architectural improvements and enhancements.
 • Have experience defining and communicating multi-application solution architectures within a broader system ecosystem.
 • Have experience working with both technical- and business-minded teams to identify problems and requirements, in defining solutions, and in translating problems/solutions across all stakeholders. 
 • Have expert knowledge of architecture related to specific technologies, tools, processes, procedures and broader business issues and relevant technologies. Familiarity with Java, Angular, Azure, OIDC, REST, Kafka/Events, relational and non-SQL databases (including MongoDB), Redis, and data driven design. 
 • Familiarity with Azure & GCP AI/ML services, LLM, Agent/Agentic architecture, Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry, GCP Vertex AI, GCP Agent Space, RAG, Azure AI Search
 • Have experience in defining and designing solutions that participate in microservice, micro front-end, and event-based architectures and experience working on customer-facing digital applications.

• There will be occasional travel for this role

    Depth & Scope:

    • Expert knowledge of architecture for own technology, tools, processes and procedures and broader organization issues and technology
    • Advanced knowledge of TD applications, programming languages, industry best practices, business/ organization, Bank standards, infrastructure, architecture
    • Works autonomously on complex, highly visible architecture projects / initiatives
    • Manages / directs activities related to analysis and design of architecture on larger, high risk / complex projects
    • Acts as an  expert resource in the exchange of architectural information for project teams, the business and/or outside vendors

    Education & Experience:

    • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
    • Graduate degree, preferred
    • 7+ years relevant experience
