Manager - IT Pharmacy
Costco WholesaleAbout the role
Position Summary
As a member of the IT Management Team, you are responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of employees. Your role includes leading the specific functional responsibilities of your team, which involves overseeing team performance and deliverables. However, your role as a leader within our organization requires more than the management of resources and day-to-day operations. As a steward of the company, you are charged with the development and execution of your team’s strategic vision and plan and ensuring that your team’s actions align with the larger goals of the company and the IT Division.
As a leader in the IT Pharmacy Management Team, you will merge advanced leadership with deep technical and domain expertise to drive our strategic vision. You are responsible for leading a specialized team in architecting pharmacy-specific digital solutions, ensuring rigorous regulatory compliance within healthcare frameworks, and spearheading AI-driven optimizations.
This role oversees the critical infrastructure powering the Pharmacy IT ecosystem, including Workflow applications, audit reporting, and patient digital engagement platforms like Instacart integration and Mail-order delivery. Having revolutionized pharmacy fulfillment—achieving a 66% optimization rate through core application modernization—our focus has shifted toward a high-impact digital future. We are now scaling this ecosystem through continuous platform expansion, integrating Artificial Intelligence to automate tasks for clinical staff, and enhancing self-service tools that empower patients to manage their care seamlessly while preventing medication non-adherence.
As the primary conduit between your employees and upper leadership, your role in communicating and modeling the values and guiding principles of our company culture is of vital importance. All members of IT Management should strive to consciously and consistently foster a culture of engagement, trust, and “open door” communication.
