What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests, members, and staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort setting.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, checking identification, and/or confirming authorization for guests, members, employees, and vendors.
- Maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery logs, including documenting time of entry and exit and routing individuals to the appropriate location.
- Issue, collect, and/or account for temporary passes, keys, and access cards in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Monitor cameras, intrusion alarms, and other security-related systems, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or local emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Provide visible presence during high-traffic periods and special events, assisting with orderly access flow and directing visitors to approved areas.
- Interact professionally with guests and staff to answer questions, provide directions, and support a welcoming experience while maintaining access rules.
- Prepare detailed, timely reports for security-related incidents, access issues, and noteworthy observations, including completing daily activity logs and shift pass-downs.
- Assist with lost and found procedures, documenting items and coordinating transfers per site policy.
- Support emergency preparedness activities such as assisting with evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and/or crowd management as directed by site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
