Position Summary:
The QC Technician inspects products throughout the fabrication process and identifies non-conforming material and parts to ensure finished product meets or exceeds customer specifications. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize proper measurement equipment to inspect products produced and determine conformance to specifications.
- Preparation and submission of part inspection reports.
- Assist in ensuring plant audit procedures are properly carried out and assigned work schedules are maintained.
- Conduct Quality Assurance audits to ensure company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved.
- Prepare plant audit reports and submit them to Quality Manager.
- Assist in the resolution of quality problems required.
- Evaluate and take corrective action, when necessary, with regard to product date coding and trade age management at all levels of product movement.
- Educate and instruct production personnel in recommended quality control testing and assist in confirming these procedures are being maintained.
- Operate and program a coordinate measuring machine.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 4+ years relevant experience in Quality Control/Assurance.
- Ability to be self-directed and motivated during majority of workday.
- Ability to prioritize within established guidelines.
- Ability to work within micro-precision (+-.001) environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain electronic and hard copy file systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings including GD&T.
- PC, Windows, MS Office proficiency.
Preferred Skills:
- 2+ year experience with dimensional measurement
- Experience with operating a 3-dimensional coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
- Basic understanding of quality systems including Measurement System Analysis.
