Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.


I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
To train and supervise Inventory Control hourly employees in all aspects of the department. Sustain a safe working environment that meets environmental, health and safety, regulatory and company requirements. To ensure the effective and efficient operation of the department while adhering to company policies and departmental standard operating procedures.

II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Material Quality: Ensure all materials and equipment received meet the specifications as outlined in the material description stated in the purchase order. Ensure that any deviations are resolved in an expeditious manner so that those specifications are satisfied.
Departmental Efficiency: Ensure that department employees complete all material transactions in a timely manner, so customers receive the requested material on or before the date required.
Cost: Control departmental cost by monitoring monthly expenditures for supplies, repairs and overtime and identifying inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions.
Human Resources: Create an environment that supports teamwork, motivation, initiative and high-performance expectations through training, open two-way communication, idea sharing and cross-training.
Manage and Lead: Develop assigned areas of stewardship for each employee to create a sense of ownership and promote a good working relationship. Maintain knowledge of best practices and provide continuing education opportunities to personnel.
Staff Development: Develop each individual’s talents to the fullest, creating an environment that supports collaboration, cross-functional teamwork, and information sharing. Communicate, lead and motivate high-performance expectations, individual initiative, and accountability.
THM: Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program. Emphasize NTG program and NVP program. Maintain the plant in like new condition.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
• Education
◦ High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of direct job-related experience within the petro chemical industry required.
• Previous Related Experience Required
◦ Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Inventory Control field within the petro chemical industry. Prior experience in Office Administration Supervision preferred.
• Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job
◦ IBM AS400 Material System and WebSmart experience
◦ Efficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
◦ Math Skills, Communication Skills, Writing Skills
◦ Basic Problem-Solving Skills.
