As a Senior Data Scientist you’ll own the end‑to‑end analytics of our quantum‑diamond microscope - optics, electronics and signal processing - and lift its performance through rigorous data‑driven engineering.

Our 30-strong team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists is already working side by side with all major semiconductor manufacturers, accelerating their yield analysis. What will you do
- Analyse quantum‑sensing datasets, extract physical insight and turn it into actionable feedback for customers.
- Design, execute and interpret experiments that probe the optical, electronic and digital signal chains of our microscopes.
- Pinpoint bottlenecks and introduce improvements across hardware and software, championing data‑driven engineering practices.
- Mentor junior data scientists and raise the bar for analysis, documentation and reproducibility.
- Communicate findings in clear reports and concise visuals to both internal teams and external partners in the semiconductor ecosystem.
What is expected of you
- PhD in Physics, Optical/Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related discipline; exceptional candidates with an MSc and 6+ years of hands-on R&D experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Proven track record of 4+ years in a data science and R&D setting outside of academia working with complex optical and/or electronic measurement equipment.
- Expertise in statistical data analysis, experimental design and signal processing with a passion for data‑driven decision making.
- Demonstrated experience developing advanced algorithms for signal processing - from concept through to deployment.
- Fluency in Python (NumPy, SciPy, pandas, matplotlib) and version control.
- Ability to translate raw data into clear stories for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work hands‑on in the lab.
- A background in quantum sensing technologies is a significant plus.
