The target audience for Credit College is business and credit analysts at various levels who are seeking to develop their credit and judgment skills as well as adjacent job families looking to better navigate Capital One’s credit culture. Our dedicated team works with a group of highly engaged partners to envision and deliver the future of Credit training at Capital One.
This events & logistics lead will partner closely with the program delivery leads to support the planning and delivery of engaging, well managed learning experience for several signature Credit College learning programs.
The ideal candidate for this position:
Has experience coordinating logistics for high-stake, high-visibility programs and events
Has excellent communication skills, including proven ability to collaborate with various levels in an organization
Is extremely organized and detail oriented, with the ability to problem-solve creatively and analytically in a fast-paced environment
Has experience managing calendars and scheduling
Is able to work both independently and within a team environment
Has excellent project management and event planning skills
Excels at managing details of a project while also understanding the larger picture, effectively prioritizing tasks with competing timelines
Has experience creating and managing timelines, budgets and catering needs
Is able to identify risks and issues and mitigate and/or escalate as needed
Is curious and eager to learn more about our core subject matter: How Capital One makes and manages risks in lending decisions
Key Responsibilities:
Provide white-glove customer service to learners
Assist in the delivery and execution of several in-person Credit College learning programs
Attend and support each program week (roughly 15 program weeks/ year)
Partner with program leads to coordinate all program logistics, including but not limited to:
Maintaining program calendars and monitoring program mailbox
Scheduling prep sessions
Creating and managing surveys
Creating and updating retro decks
Booking meeting rooms and managing the relationship with Conference Services and EEP
Securing dinner/fun event reservations
Ordering meals and overseeing day of food and beverage delivery
Maintaining and tracking budget and submitted expenses
Updating run of shows
Drafting and sending communications
Partnering with external vendors to order swag and giveaways
Maintaining and ordering necessary supplies
Tracking participant registration and attendance
Partner with and support OE lead, including but not limited to:
Monitoring shared mailbox
Pulling data
Confirming presenters and aligning on scheduling
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 1 year of experience working in Event & Logistics Management or Project Management
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
1+ years of experience supporting the delivery of large scale learning programs
1+ years of experience in learning event planning
Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change
Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
Willingness to work flexible hours due to varying needs within the program
High degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with all customer contacts
