About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven, and experimentation-minded Director of Pricing and Business Analytics to lead efforts that optimize pricing, evolve our business model, and unlock long-term growth. This high-impact role is perfect for someone who combines strong economic intuition with rigorous analytical skills and a passion for testing and learning at scale.

You’ll drive pricing strategy and business decision-making across the company, blending quantitative analysis with strategic foresight. As a core member of the Analytics & Marketplace Operations team, you’ll collaborate across Product, Analytics, Finance, and Revenue to build and test monetization frameworks, evaluate business opportunities, and ensure alignment with profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Pricing Strategy Development

  • Design, implement, and refine pricing strategies (dynamic pricing, tiered models, bundling, etc.) based on customer segmentation, value perception, and competitive positioning.

  • Leverage data to identify under-optimized revenue opportunities and fine-tune pricing across user journeys.

Drive a Culture of Experimentation

  • Develop and lead pricing and business model experiments to test hypotheses and validate assumptions.

  • Partner with Analytics and Engineering to implement robust A/B and multivariate testing frameworks.

  • Champion test-and-learn processes, ensuring rigor in experiment design, execution, and interpretation.

  • Translate experiment insights into clear recommendations and scaled rollouts.

Strategic Business Planning

  • Identify and evaluate high-impact initiatives across pricing, product packaging, and customer economics.

  • Create business cases and financial models to support prioritization of new growth strategies.

  • Guide resource allocation and roadmap development based on ROI-driven thinking.

Marketplace & Economic Insights

  • Analyze marketplace dynamics, customer behaviors, and external benchmarks to guide pricing and business decisions.

  • Track and report on key financial metrics such as CAC, LTV, take rate, and contribution margin.

  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor pricing performance, experimentation results, and strategic initiative impact.

Cross-Functional Influence

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to embed pricing experimentation into product workflows.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Revenue, and Analytics to align strategy with operational capabilities and forecasting.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on pricing, growth, and long-term business model evolution.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years in pricing strategy, experimentation, business operations, or strategy roles in technology, marketplaces, or e-commerce.

  • Expertise in experimentation design and measurement methodologies (e.g., A/B testing, incrementality testing).

  • Advanced proficiency with SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).

  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling pricing systems or monetization levers.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical, modeling, and storytelling capabilities.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to distill complexity into action.

  • Highly collaborative, with a track record of cross-functional leadership.

  • Deep understanding of unit economics and customer value drivers.

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree in economics, business, or quantitative field.

  • Prior experience working in high-growth marketplace or consumer-tech environments.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Optimizely, Amplitude, or internal experimentation platforms.
