PURPOSE
We are looking for a strong and dynamic Sales Leader (must be located Boston or Minnesota) to drive our CCM Hockey independent account sales activities in the US and support our Sales Management Team. The Senior Sales Manager will develop and implement the US strategic sales plan for certain independent dealers, aligning with the sales team to execute against overall financial targets for the US Hockey business across all product categories. This Sales leader will support building our long-term strategy together with our executive team for the future in a market with significant potential ahead.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• In line with the US sales strategy, develop long term sales goals for US Independent Account business for each product line ultimately supporting our global direction
• Develop and execute a sell in strategy built from sales forecasts and strategic revenue growth supporting the financial objectives aligning with overall US sales targets
• Develop and manage short term and long-term Go to Market (GTM) strategies within US including key dates, customer touch points, marketing reviews, and sales tracking.
• Gather, analyze, and produce findings from POS data using Excel, Looker, and PPT.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key independent accounts, serving as a point of contact for the brand and its partnerships.
• Support weekly/ monthly sales forecasting meetings with sales management generating reports as required to present the health of the business including Sell Thru from key Strategic Accounts.
• Work closely with Trade and Brand teams to collect key market insights and provide feedback necessary to optimize plans to win in the region and across the customer base.
• Ensure trade terms, discounts, and co-op agreements are managed to annual operating plan agreed upon prior to seasonal sell in with US marketing team
• Maintain annual planning calendar for all sales & product touch points with key dealers and representatives
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum 10 years of experience in sales of sports goods
• A deep understanding of the US sporting good market and consumer behaviors both in store and digital
• Ability to address challenges and solve complex problems to achieve long range goals and company vision
• Capacity to generate innovative solutions with an ability to lead acceptance of them
• Strong and positive leadership skills including the ability to engage others towards organizational goals and strategy and to empower people to perform at their best and grow in their roles and beyond
• Create and maintain, both internal and external, strong relationships
• Great communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skill set with an ability to summarize findings in a comprehensive manner
