As a Mental Health Court Case Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Assess clients being referred to 19th Judicial Circuit Mental Health Court Project
  • Communicates with the client, McCabe Connections Center Team, Sheriff's office, Public Defender, States Attorney, Judge, and Department of Children and Families SAMH offices as appropriate and necessary to ensure clients receive appropriate referrals for mental health and substance abuse services
  • Acts a primary Mental Health Court contact for New Horizons clients participating in Indian River Mental Health Court
  • Coordinates with other New Horizons staff to assist clients within Mental Health Court to access needed services including mental health and substance abuse services
  • Participates in committees, meetings, clinical training, staff development and community relation activities
  • Prepares written documentation for each service conducted


Requirements

New Horizons will need you to have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field
  • One year experience
