This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. As a Senior Supply Chain Analyst - Expenditures, you will be responsible for leading various financial planning processes for the Supply Chain organization. You will be working closely with Logistics, Planning and Finance to incorporate changes in the supply chain to the financial planning cycle.
Scope of this role includes budget forecasting and tracking, gross margin improvement tracking and capital planning. This position will be an individual contributor with the ability to execute complex and specialized tasks.
This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.
What you'll do
- Manage the transportation and warehousing budget
- Perform actual to budget variance analysis while highlighting risks & opportunities to plan
- Manage reporting of financial performance metrics, prepare reports, and facilitate discussions with internal stakeholders to act based on the information provided
- Lead efforts to identify gross margin improvement projects for the supply change organization, consolidate and report quantifiable margin improvements
- Manage the process to evaluate capital investment requests, including working with project owners to resolve questions, confirm financial calculations and submit capital requests to Leadership
- Search out and evaluate business problems and opportunities, and direct efforts to achieve answers and results
Experience You'll Bring
Required
- Bachelors Degree, Bachelors of Science degree, plus 5 years related experience, or Bachelors of Art degree, plus 7 years related experience and an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 5 years Related experience in a supply chain
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: order manageme
