General Responsibilities:
Develop a strong understanding of the regulations governing joint insurance funds in the State of New Jersey.
Become familiar with the procedures utilized by all other alternative risk placement facilities in which the profit center places business.
Understand and incorporate procedures that are required by alternative risk placements in the servicing of new and existing business.
Gain proficiency in the knowledge of public entity and school board insurance so to identify risk exposures and applicable coverages.
Assist in the compilation and preparation of marketing and underwriting data and the ability to condense material into excel worksheets as required by carriers.
Review quotations, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy.
Preparation of binders, certificates, automobile ID cards, invoices and similar items.
Data entry of all applicable underwriting information, correspondence or all other client/carrier pertinent information into the profit center management system as required.
Assist other support staff and producers with any service related matters.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong technical knowledge of coverage in all property & casualty insurance coverage.
2 years general agency/company experience required.
Public Entity exposure a plus.
Property & Casualty Agent’s License. Experience with personal computers and related software (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and insurance company proprietary software.
