We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada.

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT


Responsible for maintaining inventory, current germination, tags, sampling and location within the warehouse.
Provides accurately labeled, quality product at the most reasonable cost.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Assists the warehouse manager in training warehouse personnel.
Oversees warehouse personnel during warehouse manager absence
Monitors all warehouse activities, assists in problem solving and recommends solutuions to the warehouse manager.
Maintains inventory and assigns locations updated in JD Edwards.
Pulls orders and stages to load trucks.
Unloads incoming product from trucks.
Assures accuracy of incoming product and picked orders.
Maintains warehouse organization and housekeeping.
Retags and rebags product as needed.
Operates necessary machinery such as forklifts, etc.


OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and
procedures, as they apply.
May be required to drive and run local errands as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS


Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 1 or more years of retail related work experience to demonstrate knowledge
of basic business principals of inventory management and mechanics.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill
development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Understanding of state seed laws pertaining to product labeling and identification.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Frequently exposed to working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
Will be required to work hours other than those considered “normal” to meet seasonal demands.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional
training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
