The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Quality Analytics Part-Time Student for John Deere Intelligent Solutions, you will:
Contribute to building internal data products that enhance machine quality and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside engineers and data professionals, helping to shape tools that improve issue detection and prioritization for John Deere machines worldwide.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop Data Products: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and expand internal data tools that drive machine quality improvements.
- Feature Engineering with PySpark: Work primarily in Databricks using PySpark to create new features and enhance existing data products. Experience with Python, SQL, or PySpark is preferred, but you'll also gain valuable on-the-job training.
- Drive Innovation: Take ownership of tasks, explore data deeply, and propose creative solutions. We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and able to work independently while asking thoughtful questions when needed.

What Skills You Need
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, or PySpark.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for data.
- Self-motivated, inquisitive, and eager to learn.
- Pursuing a four-year college degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited local university
- Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
- Graduation date of May 2027 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- 12 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
- 30 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
