Abercrombie and Fitch is seeking a lead on the brand marketing team who will be responsible for overseeing strategy and execution of all things related to Abercrombie brands (Abercrombie & Fitch, YPB and abercrombie kids) brand communications and affiliate & creator marketing work. Connecting the Abercrombie brands with our customers in an authentic and brand-right way has been a key to the brand’s success. Leveraging the human side of authentic connection in our creator marketing and earned PR is a critical component of the brand’s path forward.
This Manager role is responsible for incubating, developing and engaging an ecosystem of humans to serve as storytellers to communicate about Abercrombie brands’ key campaigns, brand moments, products, cause and purpose initiatives, and more. Successful candidates in this role will drive revenue, achieve vast reach and scale, inspire conversations in social feeds and earned press. Brand advocacy is a corporate pillar that is integrated into the success and future of all of the Abercrombie brands, delivering on a 9-digit Revenue target, thousands of advocates and billions in reach.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Assist in the seasonal brand experience planning process as a subject matter expert, defining affiliate, creator and comms plans for the team to execute
- Oversee influencer marketing campaigns, from strategy development to execution and performance analysis, some managed internally and some supported with external agencies
- Oversee affiliate marketing programs, fostering relationships with partners to drive brand visibility and meaningful sales and business outcomes, with both individuals, platforms, and editorial affiliates
- Support brand public relations initiatives, including media relations, press releases, and crisis management; develop and maintain media relationships as it pertains to brand press and media that matter
- Heavily coordinate with social channels to ensure alignment for engagement and posting strategies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other marketing partners, merchandising, design, etc. to ensure cohesive brand messaging as well as to ensure creator marketing deliverables and assets are integrated into other brand channels and properties
- Collaborate intimately with legal, tax, finance, and corporate communications to adhere to brand and company standards and policies
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for continued growth and evolution of brand advocacy strategies and tactics
- Understand how to navigate and identify whitespace at the intersection of brand culture and creators to build distinct and innovative marketing strategies
- Manage a team of 5-6 associates with a high-level of oversight, drive, and transparency
- Responsible for tracking and managing budgets
- Compile data for seasonal hindsight presentations
- Works regularly with external agencies to build and drive industry-leading programs
- Put the customer at the center of everything we do - Partner with Customer Insights team to shape research (brand health, target consumer, etc.) and identify key insights and drive their integration into campaigns
What Do You Need To Bring?
- Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
- Highly motivated and collaborative with a willingness to learn
- 7-9 years of marketing experience with a brand or agency, emphasis on brand communications and/or influencer/creator marketing
- Understanding of the Millennial and kids customers
- Experience in driving millions in revenue
- Has experience building and motivating a team
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Strategic, analytic and structured thinking ability
