About the role

Executive Administrative Assistant and Consultant

The Opportunity:

To execute missions effectively, organizations need help looking at their operation from the outside. Whether standing up a new organization, transforming an existing one, or transitioning an organization, such as in a merger or split-up, our clients need a consultant who will take the time to learn the complexities of their mission and provide them with tangible advice on business process improvements, mission success, and standard methodologies.

That’s why we need you, a management consultant who can analyze every aspect of your customer’s operations and give them the roadmap to becoming the organization they envision. As a general management consultant on our team, you’ll develop an overall picture of your client’s current structure, day-to-day operations, and outcomes in a manner that they may not have thought of before.

In this specific role, we are also looking for an Executive Administrative Assistant that can support multiple executives while looking for opportunities to streamline and improve operations and effectiveness of communications and collaboration across directorates.

As an Executive Administrative Assistant and Consultant, you will coordinate administrative and support functions for one or more executives or management personnel. You will apply industry or organizational knowledge to programs or projects and perform varied tasks. You’ll use standard policies, procedures, and practical application of the general and technical aspects of the job to complete assignments. You’ll provide executive support services, including scheduling, travel management, and senior-level meeting coordination, preparation, facilitation, and data analysis. You’ll perform a wide variety of administrative and office management duties in support of senior executives and provide advice and guidance to the staff on preparation of appropriate procedural policies.

You will stay fully apprised of new and changing administrative policies and procedures affecting various staff elements and develop implementing instructions and guidance for dissemination. You’ll review the Director and Deputy Director’s daily messages and incoming actions and recommend a course of action. You’ll work with other staff in the office to identify requirements and follow up to ensure completion. You’ll serve as the primary point of administrative contact and liaison with external offices and individuals on operational and programmatic matters concerning the organization. You’ll help to facilitate effective communication between directors and other senior executives, management, and staff, both internally and externally. You’ll dispense a wide range of telephonic, interpersonal, and written inquiries tactfully and diplomatically, and receive and interface with high-level officials, high-profile visitors, and confidential personnel. You’ll answer inquiries, make referrals as appropriate, determine which visitors and calls should be brought to the personal attention of the senior executives or other staff members, and navigate the various subordinate levels of hierarchy and differing technical functions within the organization.

This is your chance to gain experience in supporting senior government officials while building core consulting skills.
