About the job

The Cloud and Information Services (CIS) Business Operations team is looking for an IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to help ensure that IT processes and technology support overall IT strategy. You will join a group of dynamic and motivated professionals who drive technical innovation across SAS and identify technology gaps and overlaps in our enterprise portfolio.  

 

As an IT Business Relationship Manager, you will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of how SAS IT operates as a business unit, including its key services, capabilities, processes, data, and systems.
  • Define, track and communicate relevant KPIs to measure contribution to business strategy.
  • Partner with SAS IT leaders to define their portfolio of services and strategic use of technology.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architects to develop technical roadmaps for IT as a business.
  • Partner with Business Unit-facing BRMs to identify areas of continuous improvement for IT.
  • Proactively identify IT processes to be automated and evaluate cost of that automation versus continuing with human efforts.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement programs that cut across the entire IT division.
  • Build business cases for new technology solutions with clear ROI and alignment to IT goals.
  • Act as primary point of contact related to mergers and acquisitions and impact to IT services.

Required qualifications

  • Overall, 10 years of Experience in IT Operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.
  • A proven ability to build relationships effectively at the Director, VP and C-level.
  • Expertise in IT budget planning, financial management and workforce management.
  • Expertise in IT governance formulation, and organizational change management
  • Proven track record of innovation to improve operational efficiency and service delivery across IT.
  • Experience with one or more of the following frameworks related to how IT runs as a business – ITIL, PMBOK, TOGAF, Agile Software Development, NIST or ISO Security frameworks, Six Sigma or Lean IT

Preferred qualifications

  • Ability to stay connected to external market IT trends and apply them at SAS.
  • Experience with platforms used to run IT organizations efficiently, such as Microsoft, ServiceNow and Atlassian.
  • Experience delivering IT services at a technology-focused company.
  • Ability to act on ambiguous ideas to resolve confusion and drive to successful outcomes.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a dynamic and complex operating environment
  • Ability to prioritize competing interests and manage both strategic and tactical interests simultaneously.
