Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager – Full-Time – Nights (No Weekends)

• Location: Austin, TX
• Schedule: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Salary: Up to $150,000/year (based on experience)

Overview

An established multi-specialty hospital in Austin, TX is hiring a Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager to lead the night shift across Labor & Delivery, OBED, OBOR, and Antepartum units. This is a high-volume birthing environment with over 10,000 births annually, requiring a seasoned nurse leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity maternity care.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations during night shift across all L&D subsets

• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and staff accountability

• Promote adherence to clinical and regulatory standards

• Monitor staff competencies and assign appropriately based on patient needs

• Support patient throughput via effective admission, transfer, and discharge planning

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery

• Review and respond to patient feedback and satisfaction metrics

• Foster a culture of accountability, patient safety, and positive outcomes

Requirements

• BSN required, MSN preferred

• Texas RN license or active compact license

• Specialty certification (Inpatient OB, EFM, or similar) required within 6 months of hire

• 3–5+ years of healthcare experience

• 1+ year of supervisory experience in a Labor & Delivery unit

• Experience in high-volume birthing environments (800+ births/month) strongly preferred
