MPF Production Engineer

Job Description

Identify production bottlenecks, safety issues, and cost savings opportunities for the Multi-Purpose Facility.  Develop solutions for ongoing production challenges to meet production targets for supply chain.  Support environmental reporting requirements.  Serve as a technical resource for training, including reviewing SOP and leading classroom training.  Coordinate the safe introduction of new processes and projects into the MPF production unit. 

Duties:

• Support daily production activities for the MPF unit.
• Track product quality and take necessary actions to ensure that specifications are met.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for process optimization.
• Influence and implement HS&E improvements and ensuring that all activities satisfy the requirements of Syngenta standards including site Management of Change and Risk Assessment procedures.
• Ensure proper review and documentation of process and changes for operational, safety and environmental impact.

Qualifications

• B.S. Chemical Engineering with 3+ years experience in chemical process design or production.
• Knowledge of process safety, environmental regulation and programs. 
• Understanding of safety, environmental and economic issues associated with the operation of a chemical plant.
