Technical Lead (Freelance)

Instrument is collaborating with Crystal Bridges on a three-month discovery to define and roadmap a transformative digital experience [app] for the Crystal Bridges Campus. We’ll create a vision articulated through a service blueprint and robust prototype as well as an implementation plan to launch.
Our engineering team will assess and recommend the ideal technical stack to ensure that our proposed solutions meet user needs, business objectives, and future project milestones. Technical decisions and requirements will be documented in a Technical Design Document that will be continually updated. As part of this technical discovery, we will agree on any frontend frameworks, architecture considerations and any third party tooling systems.

We need a Freelance Tech Lead to partner with the team and a Technical Director to consult on the technical approach and author the TDD.
Engagement Dates: 8/5-10/18, 20 hrs/week for 2 weeks, then 40 hrs/week

What You'll Do

• Represent tech feasibility/needs in KO sessions
• Workshops
• Validate feasibility for app/website updates
• Create and lead work on TDD
• Attend internal and client meetings
• Lead/present tech discussions

What You'll Bring:

• Knowledge of FE frameworks, architecture, and third party tooling systems in order to make recommendations for the app and websites.

Pay Range

• The expected pay range for this role is $84-$103 per hour (on a 1099), but will depend on the level in which you are engaged
• Our company has three regional pay bands that it adheres to depending on your location, we reference them as US 1, US 2, and US 3.
• US 3 is our base pay. Examples of cities in US 3 are Portland, Houston and Miami.
• US 2 pay is 7.5% higher than US 3 to meet the market rates. Examples of cities in US 2 are Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle.
• US 1 pay is 15% higher than US 3 to meet market rates. Examples of cities in US 1 are Brooklyn and San Francisco.
