WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Junior People Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted resource and confidant to employees, a strategic consultant to management, and a leader for human resources initiatives. You will be empowered to have direct ownership over a variety of projects and work. This role will be based in our New York City office, with hybrid flexibility, and is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to a fast-growing tech company
Here are some things to expect in your day-to-day:
- Provide sound guidance and timely assistance to departments within our AMER region. Focus areas include but are not limited to compliance, policies, and People programs
- Conduct ongoing, continuous performance management processes, such as Performance Improvement Plans and coaching plans, and ensure complete compliance with local employment laws
- Partner closely with your affiliated senior People Business Partner(s) and employment counsel to plan for and conduct employee involuntary terminations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management conversations
- Engage with cross functional People teams such as Total Rewards, People Systems, and People Programs and Strategy to facilitate programs such as leaves of absence, systems integration and data, and policy implementation
- Serve as the intermediary for mid-level managers and employees, and offer advice, counseling, and training on employee relations matters, all while escalating and being guided by your affiliated senior People Business Partner(s)
- Partner with affiliated senior People Business Partner(s) and client groups to review, analyze and action on employee engagement survey feedback
- Be both an advocate for employees and a champion for the business
- Work as a member of the global People team to drive our engaging and exciting culture
WHO YOU ARE
You’re a highly-motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated human resources professional who is able to balance the needs of the business with the needs of our people!
Specifically, you have:
- 3+ years of full-time professional work experience (business and human resources/client-facing experience preferred)
- A strong understanding of human resources best practices
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- A strategic mindset and a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude—no task is too small for you
- Superb organizational skill, attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and be adaptable as situations require
- Robust multitasking skills and comfort wearing many hats at once
In addition, this position is exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $76,500 - $85,500/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $85,000 - $95,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
