Essential Duties:
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
- Comply with all company policies including safety regulations, personal protective equipment requirements, standard operating procedures, work instructions, quality system procedures, and good driving practices.
- Pre-inspection of truck prior to driving; verify load for accuracy.
- Unload truck at site – this involves heavy lifting and inspection of site to ensure the environment is safe to unload.
- Keep log book up to date at all times according to DOT regulations.
- Communicate regularly with customer service to ensure timely product delivery at job site.
- Communicate driving accidents and/or potential hazards to management immediately.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a valid Class A CDL driver's license, clean driving record and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Incumbent is required to pass a fit for duty physical examination and drug screening. Hazmat endorsement is needed or must receive it within the first 30 days of employment.
Education and/or Experience
Employee must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Employee must have good math skills and demonstrate the ability to use measuring devices appropriately and precisely.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Employee must have the ability to deal with problems involving variables in any situation.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
Employee must have a valid CDL driver’s license and must have successfully passed OSHA 10-hour safety and health training, job assessments and annual DOT certifications.
Other Skills
Employee must be able to operate forklifts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The employee is frequently required to interact with customers. The employee is directly responsible for the safety handling of delivered materials and cautious driving of company trucks he/she is entrusted with.
