Division: Operations/Transportation
Reports To: Executive Director, Transportation
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Schedule: AS6

Essential Duties:

- Record and issue purchase orders for various service contracts.
- Maintain purchase orders, correspondence, inventory, and budget files.
- Ensure accuracy of reported information and availability of funds.
- Prepare statements of maintenance budget encumbrances and expenditures.
- Ensure school compliance with HCS Financial Procedures Manual, including preparing, analyzing, and reconciling financial accounting reports and data for the review of District administration and state and federal agencies.
- Review and reconcile receipts and disbursements.
- Prepare financial documents.
- Assist with preparation of annual budget; assist with budget preparation – create spreadsheets, monitor revenue and expenditures.
- Process supply and equipment orders.
- Reconcile timecards to leave slips; collect and verify overtime sheets monthly and calculate hours and pay.
- Perform various clerical duties such as scheduling, answering phones, and assisting visitors.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE), required.
- One to two years of bookkeeping experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities required.
- Ability to successfully operate a variety of office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, etc.
- Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community.
- Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
- Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
- Ability to be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
- Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
- Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Ability to perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
