Job Description
The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will manage the preparation, analysis and monitoring of financials, provide substantial analytical focus while ensuring data quality and accuracy in order to perform effective management reporting. As a strategic business leader, he/she will collaborate with senior leaders across the business and lead the preparation of various monthly financial and operational reporting with insightful analysis, explanation of variance drivers and recommendations for cost saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Controlling:
- Drive the business controlling function, collaborating with the accounting team to ensure accurate cost allocations between accounts, cost centers, and business areas.
- Monitor key performance indicators and trend analysis for the business.
- Manage monthly closing analysis and control of the budget, communicating performance to HQ and local management.
- Preparation of various monthly financial and operational reporting across all departments of the business, providing insightful analysis, explanation of variance drivers, and recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
- Drive process improvements and proactively develop ways to improve the speed and accuracy of monthly closings.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budget, latest estimate, and business review processes for all America entities.
- Analyze and bridge budget variances between different scenarios.
- Develop, improve and maintain budgeting templates adapted to our business partners’ needs.
- Drive process improvements and proactively develop ways to improve the speed and accuracy of the budget and forecasting process.
Additional responsibilities:
- Understand and analyze the components and business processes involved in the P&L, linking financial impact with business decisions or outcomes.
- Collaborate with business partners to perform ad-hoc financial analysis related to current business or new projects.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with procurement and other departments to optimize the S2P process, ensuring compliance with AP standards and internal controls, as well as alignment with budget to manage costs.
- Support our business partners to ensure timely and accurate processing of Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required.
- 5+ years experience in preparing and maintaining financial models, budgets, reporting, consolidation and financial analysis, preferably in retail or the luxury industry.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact, advise and challenge senior leadership levels.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Accounting/GAAP knowledge.
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated experience serving as a strategic business partner, practical sense and team working.
- Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple projects, taking initiative, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Required Travel - 10%.
Additional Information
Audemars Piguet offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The salary range for this position is $140k - $150k annually. This role is eligible for bonus. Salary will be based on relevant skills and experience.
