Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Associate Director, Provider Experience Strategy to join our Provider Experience team.

About the role

You will play a critical role in identifying and analyzing strategic opportunities that define the overall roadmap driving Oscar's Provider Experience. You will be high-performing, curious, and analytical, and will work in a fast-paced environment to align key partners to operationalize the E2E issue resolution model and other critical cross-functional Oscar initiatives.

You will report to the Director, Strategy & Insights.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $158,400 - $207,900 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $142,560 - $187,110 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate deeply with SMEs and functional leaders across the organization to identify and analyze strategic opportunities that define the overall roadmap driving Oscar's Provider Experience.
  • Collaborate with data science and ops analytics teams to source and analyze data needed to frame certain problems and answer strategic questions for initial discovery and initiative execution.
  • Take ambiguous problems, create structure to answer key questions, and design approaches to leverage and analyze available information, executing analyses, and tracking to a clear narrative.
  • Plan and execute programs to track progress of initiatives and success towards key KPIs, including identifying and navigating cross-functional blockers.
  • Build clear and cohesive materials to communicate goals, findings, progress, and present progress to executive-level leadership
  • Maintain a strong external orientation, leveraging deep healthcare industry and market knowledge, a pulse on healthcare investments and innovation, and insights into our competition and our providers' needs to bring together research and strategic decisions in key areas
  • Lead and grow team, coaching team members and driving accountability
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in healthcare strategy and operations, and or related field
  • 4+ years of experience managing individual contributors
  • 3+ years of data analytics experience to improve programs and develop strategies

Bonus Points

  • MBA, MPH
  • Management Consulting experience with a focus on healthcare
  • Experience using Excel/Sheets (charts, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint/Slides
  • Experience in a fast-paced operations or strategy environments, and operating with many stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring more junior colleagues
  • Experience executing enterprise-wide projects: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, and developed all processes associated with program rollout and ongoing support
  • Healthcare experience (Health Insurance, Health Systems, or Healthcare Consulting)
